About our Torah Study Program
Our Torah Study group meets every Saturday morning in the Lantz Library from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. We encourage you to come even if you have never been to Temple Shalom before. You will receive a warm welcome. We study the portion of the week that simultaneously is being studied by Jews worldwide. The index for the portion of the week can be found in the Kolenu, in our weekly email, and on line at https://www.templeshalomweb.org/calendar. All text, reading, and discussion are in English. Some of us read from Plaut's Torah Commentary (copies available in our library), others use different translations and commentary on Torah. We encourage diversity!
The weekly Torah and Haftorah portions as well as the clergy member who will be leading the discussion can be found at Leader Signup.xlsx.
We stay connected during the week by email. Each of us receives a weekly letter with the index of the portion for the week and other comments of interest to the group. If you would like to be added to the list send an email to ShalomTorahStudy@gmail.com.
You will receive an email entitled "Invitation to join Temple Shalom Torah Study". Simply click the "Accept this invitation" button to join.
