All Day for 11 DaysTemple Shalom
Dear Temple Shalom Family,
We are all going through a very difficult time. We know that many of our families are together at home coping with the situation as best we can.
As your Temple Shalom family, we are here for you! Over the weekend we celebrated Shabbat together online. Over 135 people within our Temple Shalom community learned, prayed, meditated and supported each other on FaceBook Live and Zoom services!
We lifted each other up and it reminded us of the power and importance of our community and the inspiration of Jewish tradition. We are fortunate that we live in a time that we can remain connected online and look forward to the time when we can embrace each other in person again!
In the meantime, we are developing a schedule to continue services, b'nei mitzvah training, Torah Study and remote learning experiences for our Religious School students with our Temple Shalom clergy and teachers. It is expressly this time when we all need this connection.
Please keep updated by checking your emails as we will send direct links for these many different opportunities as this week progresses.
Our clergy and staff are here for you. If you need emergency assistance, we can all be reached through the Temple's emergency line at (203) 247-1051, or through our emails:
Stacey Cohen - execdir@optonline.net
Rabbi Mark Lipson - rebhaz@me.com
Rabbi Cantor Shirah Sklar - cantorshirah@gmail.com
Rabbi Jason Greenberg - rabbi.jason.greenberg@gmail.com
May we all be well, healthy and safe and may we get through this time comforted by the knowledge that this too shall pass. Let us use our social distance as an opportunity to connect with each other through new technologies and find inspiration and hope together.
